Key Challenges

  • The client has had a reactive approach to maintenance since 2015.
  • Implementing standard maintenance workflow procedures.
  • Customisation of asset care plans across the various business units.
  • Unable to react to feedback on maintenance work orders.
  • Complex integration requirements across 30 ERP databases.
  • Change management and requirements across the various Afrimat entities.
  • Digital platforms require internet access, and bandwidth in South Africa can be erratic due to several external factors (eg loadshedding).

Our intervention

  • We partnered with the client in determining their various integration requirements and developed detailed specification documents.
  • Developed a standardised asset tree and asset type tree structure hierarchy.
  • Documented detailed work management processes in alignment with best practices.
  • Provided detailed training in upskilling super users in operating and maintaining On Key Plus within the organisation.
  • Continuously support and drive optimisation efforts identified by Afrimat through On Key Plus and other supporting applications (eg Service Request app, Field Engineer app, Material Manager app).
  • Use data to focus and shift attention towards improvement.
